FOOD is a sensitive public topic. Scarcity of food commodities such as rice, soybeans, and cooking oil, is always a discussion topic: people question the government’s performance in handling basic needs. Especially when food commodity prices are shooting up, and some are even hard to get as the fasting month of Ramadan arrives. This, in turn, is due to the disruption in global supply chain caused by the war between Russia and Ukraine.
