The East Jakarta District Court has declared both Goenawan Mohamad and Koran Tempo guilty of libelling Tomy Winata. Once again, the courts have ignored the Press Laws.

LAST Monday, one of the members of the judicial panel presiding over the Tomy Winata lawsuit against Goenawan Mohamad, Koran Tempo daily and PT Tempo Inti Madia Harian was replaced amidst controversial circumstances. Justice Rustam Idris was replaced by Justice John Fritz Polnaja.
