Compensation Scheme
THE 13 companies that have pocketed mining permits in protected forests are required to operate under an access-and-use scheme that includes compensation. The requirement was related to the implementation of the amended Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (Perpu) 1/2004. If its not carried out, the permit would be revoked, said Forestry Minister M.
