As many as 40 girls from Indonesia have been discovered as slaves of prostitution in Malaysia. Hundreds more are believed to have been seized by procurers.

A GIRL of 18 sits on a chair lost in thought at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Kuala Lumpur. She is thin, has a pointed nose and is dressed in a tight pink T-shirt and blue jeans.
