MINISTER of Forestry Malam Sambat Kabans frustration with Indonesias district courts has reached breaking point. Over the past three months, the district courts have acquitted six alleged forestry law violators, exonerating them from all charges. However, according to Kaban, there was sufficient evidence to convict the defendants in every one of these cases.
The final straw was a case involving timber tycoon Prasetyo Gow at the Pontianak District
