THE four-story Shophouse No. B-9 in the Kalideres Megah housing complex, West Jakarta, which is normally shuttered up tight, was raided by dozens of police officers from the Jakarta Metropolitan Police’s Drug Squad on Thursday two weeks ago. Local residents expressed shock at learning that the premises had housed a small-scale shabu-shabu factory since January, producing about 4 kilograms a month.
