In retaliation for the Australian government's spying on Indonesia, hackers from the archipelago brought down hundreds of Australian websites, including the secret service's homepage. Police from both countries have yet to investigate.

Using invitations through Facebook groups, the Indonesian Security Down Team community attacked hundreds of Australian websites. "Australia also participated in violating diplomatic ethics. Let's launch a massive attack," read a message on the group page on Friday in early November. The group administrator linked to a piece of news titled "Australia also tapped Indonesia" to reinforce the invitation.
