The status of a Supreme Court judge seems to be very lofty indeed. Not only does one become an honorable judge in the judiciary's highest institution, but it also seems one becomes higher than the law. Three Supreme Court judges, M. Yahya Harahap, who has now retired, Mrs. Supraptini Sutarto and Mrs. Marnis Kahar, allegedly received bribes totaling Rp196 million from those looking for 'justice' in Bandung, but have yet to be tried.
