The National Police are beating the drum in fighting crime. In the last four weeks, police reportedly shot 15 crime suspects, killing five in the West Java capital, Bandung. In Jakarta, police have shot dead 82 suspects in the last 12 months. This has been accompanied by a significant upsurge in crime lately.
