As a journalist, he managed to fool his fellow journalists and neighbors in Tutup village, Tunjungan subdistrict, Blora Regency, Central Java. For years, the police, journalists, and neighbors simply knew Umbaran Wibowo as a contributor for state television station TVRI in the eastern region of Central Java.
