They still hold deliberations on the Wiretapping Bill back at the Legal Affairs Commission at the DPR. Wiretapping technologies may only be used for law enforcement.
THE meeting of the Legal Affairs Commission at the House of Representatives (DPR) on Tuesday, May 30, did not conclude the deliberation on the Wiretapping Bill. The bill drafted by the DPR’s Secretariat-General Expert Body apparently still needed work. “There has to be one more meeting,” said Commission Deputy Chair from the National Mandate Party (PAN) Faction, Pangeran Khairul Saleh, on Friday, June 9.
