President Joko Widodo ratifies the second revision of the ITE Law. It still contains catch-all articles that restrict the freedom of expression.
FOUR Civil Society Coalition activists returned home without being able to submit their study of the Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE) Draft Law to Communication and Informatics Deputy Minister Nezar Patria. They met with Nezar on November 30, 2023, to talk about the ITE Draft Law currently being discussed in the House of Representatives (DPR).
