Laundering Tin Mining Gains Through Luxury Goods

A number of suspects in tin trading corruption are alleged to have engaged in money laundering through money changers. Most of the ill-gotten money was allegedly spent on luxury items ranging from watches to cars.
MONEY changer Quantum Skyline Exchange has no longer been in operation since almost a month ago. When Tempo visited it on Friday, April 26, no activity was observed inside the shop-house office in Jalan Pluit Karang Manis, Penjaringan, North Jakarta.
