Around 1980, I met a student from the AFS exchange program. At that time she was on her way back from a vacation in Lake Toba, North Sumatra, to Yogyakarta, via Jakarta.
While in Telukbayur, West Sumatra, she had difficulties finding a ship. Just by chance I happened to be captain of a ship called Fenny which was sailing to Jakarta, so she was able to ride with me and arrive safely in Tanjungpriok, Jakarta.
