Italian novelist Umberto Eco promoted his new book, Il Cimitero di Praga, and shared his fear of the gradual disappearance of printed books. He claims that reading books on his iPad ruins his eyes.

Almost every year, Umberto Eco attends the International Book Fair in Frankfurt, which he describes as a place where major literary figures gather. This year's visit was to promote his new novel Il Cimitero di Praga (The Prague Cemetery), which this week goes on sale in German bookstores.
