STEPPING into 2023, Indonesia’s economy directly must confront various challenges that lie in wait. A global economic recession seems inevitable. The seeds of the problem have been sown since last year: inflation. In the world’s advanced economies, inflation has reached its highest points in the last 40 years. Central banks must crank up interest rates as high as they go. Thus, the global economy is now falling into a recession.
