INDONESIA’S domestic politics are increasingly turbulent. The latest trigger is the plan by some members of the House of Representatives (DPR) from political parties supporting presidential candidates Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo to invoke the inquiry rights, known as Hak Angket. If the DPR does use this right, the political struggle that usually takes place behind the scenes among the elite will turn into an open war.
