News that paper prices would be increased by 12 percent in early October, has plunged newspaper publishers into a state of red alert. According to Executive Chairman of the Newspaper Publishers Association (SPS), Leo Batubara, newspaper publishers will have to dig deep into their pockets to raise the necessary US$640 per metric ton of paper resulting from the 12 percent increase.
