THERE was subdued excitement among the thousands gathered at the open arena of the Bali Arts Center in Denpasar on Friday evening last week. They waited eagerly for Cedil and Dollar, two well-known Balinese comedians and other artists to perform in a play called Drama Gong. Their patience paid off, as the show, a spoof on political campaigning, brought the house down with laughter from start to finish.
