Padang Bulan residents hope that Polonia will no longer be used as an airport. For them it has brought no benefit whatsoever.

THE iron-sheeting roof creaks loudly. The windows shake as if they want to break free of the frame that holds them. Glasses sitting on the table tremble spilling their contents.
