A number of intellectuals have written a draft bill on intelligence which reduces the authority of the State Intelligence Agency.

THE draft which was produced from discussions between a number of scholars from several universities was finally submitted to Minister of Defense Juwono Sudarsono, on Thursday of last week. This is a draft of the bill regarding state intelligence which for the first time has been received by the Minister of Defense, said Andi Widjajanto, an observer of defense issues from the University of Indonesia, one of the bills contributors.
