ON October 28, two days after Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) officially went on campaign leave, Mohamad Taufik phoned the acting governor appointed by the home affairs minister: Sumarsono. Taufik, vice speaker of the Jakarta Legislative Council, had a list of agenda items that he was not able to discuss with Ahok.
