Egianus Kogeya’s group carries out several violent actions in Nduga. They are supported by nimble and tech-savvy youths.
FOR seven days and seven nights, William trekked through the Papuan wilderness to see Egianus Kogeya. Along with his five colleagues, the human rights activist walked from the Habema Lake in Jayawijaya Regency to Nduga, an area controlled by the Egianus group. Marching over mountains surrounded by tall trees, William repeatedly had difficulties breathing when the night fell.
