PRESIDENT Joko Widodo’s speech on January 18, in which he asked the House of Representatives (DPR) to immediately pass the Protection of Domestic Workers Bill (PPRT Bill), raised a concern for Puan Maharani. The House Speaker promptly contacted I Gusti Ayu Bintang Darmawati, a fellow Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) politician who is also the Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection.
