The relationship between Abdurrahman Wahid and Matori Abdul Djalil has increasingly soured. The President is thinking of dumping Matori from the National Awakening Party (PKB).

President Abdurrahman Wahid is now busy with a new activity. Besides going to the Bina Graha presidential office every Saturday, he also visits the central office of PKB, the party he co-founded. Every weekend, this office, located in Kuningan, South Jakarta, offers an unusual sight: the visit of the President with an entourage comprising aides, bodyguards and palace staffers.
