Repression against BEM UI condemned

SEVERAL groups have condemned repression against the board of University of Indonesia’s Student Executive Body (BEM UI) which criticized President Joko Widodo as raja pembual or the king of lip service. One of the repressions has indeed come from UI’s rectorate, which questioned the BEM board. “The action was exaggerated,” said lecturer of the Law Faculty of University of Gadjah Mada Sigit Riyanto, Monday, June 28.
