THERE is nothing good about being in jail. It elicits mixed feelings of acceptance and a sense of revenge against the law enforcers. Such sentiments can be found among prison inmates, particularly the less educated ones. They want revenge against the icons that led to them being in jail: the police who investigated them, the prosecutors who tried them in court and the judges who sentenced them.
