The debate on Bible-based bylaws in Manokwari must be stopped. Let religion remain a private matter. The state should not be involved in regulating it.

THE plan to regulate Manokwari regency with a bylaw based on the Bible should not be followed through. If it is agreed and passed, the implications could be serious: a possible trigger of horizontal conflict.
