MAY 17 is the 61st anniversary of the City of Jambi. This capital of Jambi province sits in an area of 205.43 square kilometers, but only 74 square kilometers of the land can be effectively utilized. The remaining part comprises swampy, brackish and flooded zones. Still, this region has been growing fast. The growth of new economic centers has also attracted new residents to the city.
