The ban on Indonesian airlines flying to Europe calls for a wise, not reactionary, response. There must be continuous efforts to improve safety standards.

FROM Brussels, Belgium, came the unhappy news: the skies of the European Union are closed to all Indonesian airlines. This is embarrassing. There are around 150 airlines banned from Europe, and 51 of them, or a third, come from Indonesia.
