The government should increase the price of Premium gasoline in stages. The switch of Pertamax consumers to Premium can lead to a rise in subsidy spending.

IT would be a real shame if the government missed this golden opportunity to reduce spending on fuel subsidies. The government is taking the easy route, which is very risky, by increasing subsidies. In spite of this, it will have to run around trying to cover the resulting deficit in the State Budget.
