THE Rumah Susun Law recently passed by the House of Representatives (DPR) guarantees protection for consumers and assistance for poor people in obtaining housing, such as in apartments. The momentum provided by the passing of this law should be used to return the government's cheap accommodation program to its original aim, namely to provide cheap apartments for low-income people through low-interest home loans.
