THE move by Rusdi Kirana to save his business empire from bankruptcy must be viewed with caution. Although the initiative by the owner of the Lion Air group in preparing a lifeboat is a normal practice in the world of business, this corporate action must not burden the state. The government should anticipate a range of possibilities if the Indonesian aviation industry tycoon goes bankrupt.
