Indonesia is to export clean electricity to Singapore. There are indications of a clash of interests behind granting of permits.
THE government’s plan to allow electricity exports to Singapore is the right move and must be supported. But this policy must provide benefits for the state and be free of conflicts of interest among officials making this decision.
