GAM and Hostage-taking

LIKE everyone else in Indonesia, I became caught up in the drama of Ersa Siregar and Ferry Santoro. When I heard of Ersas death, it was as much a shock as if a good friend had unexpectedly died. When Ferry was released, I wanted to hug the televisionit was as though a member of my own family was back.

But even as we all were savoring the joy of seeing Ferry alive and well, one quest
