Arun Lays Off Employees
Acehnese seem to be still out of Fortunes favor. At least today 230 Acehnese have lost their jobs at PT Arun NGL & Co. This layoff is necessary, as Arun has not received adequate gas supplies from Exxon Mobil Inc. for its liquefied natural gas product. Lower supplies have forced us into redundancies, said Irwandar, a media relations staffer of Arun, a company previously employing 1,350 people.
