SOEs Lose Big
UP until 2003 many state companies still suffered losses. Of 157 state-owned enterprises (SOEs), 47 companies or nearly one-third were still unable to make profits. The total losses amounted to Rp6 trillion. Of the amount, nearly 85 percent was suffered by 10 companies.
