Some universities are handing out doctor honoris causa titles and honorary professorships to politicians and government officials. Their academic contributions are in question.

LARGE flower arrangements and scores of posters voicing protest were placed around Brawijaya University in Jalan Veteran, Malang, East Java, on Monday July 25.
