Dermagandul
There is certainly primordialism in the Dermagandul, in its portrayal of the authentic, the native, the ancient and the old as better than the new and foreign. The text is prejudiced against everything ‘Arab’.

THE seven ancient gravestones bear a gentle story, but an unfinished one. Found in Trowulan, Mojokerto, East Java—near the site of the Majapahit palace—the seven-century-old gravestones are engraved with a quotation from the Qur’an, but their year of dating is Old Javanese.
