Failed Bank Mandiri Transaction
On May 18 and 21, I attempted to use Bank Mandiri's internet banking to transfer money between my accounts. The transfer was very important. I needed to have enough money in my account to pay for giro notes that were about to fall due. But the transfer kept failing. "Transaction Could Not Be Processed, Account in Use by Other Teller," the message said.
Village Administration's Vision and Mission
THE Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration's Ministry's hard work to develop 74,000 Indonesian villages will not run smoothly if it is not matched by village-administration competency in developing their own villages. It is public knowledge that most village administration work without a long-term vision and only conduct routine tasks. Thus, results are suboptimal.
Right of Reply from Raden Priyono
The article titled Top Energy Official Involved in TPPI Corruption as published on page 46 of the May 18-24, 2015, issue of Tempo magazine made reference to Raden Prijono, the former head of upstream oil and gas regulator BPMigas, as a suspect in the case. This information is inaccurate. The correct name should be Ir R. Priyono. Raden Prijono was only a witness in the case of alleged corruption in the sale of the state's condensate quota commenced by Trans Pacific Petrochemical Indonesia (TPPI), whose investigation is carried out by the directorate of economic and special crimes of the Police's Criminal Investigation Unit, as per the inspection on May 20, 2015, which is further enforced by a letter of summons dated April 18, 2015.
Defense Ministry Correction
TEMPO'S Too Many Cooks cover story in its May 18-24, 2015 issue, page 36, contains writing that could give rise to a misperception among readers. The article puts the defense minister together in the same group as other, more controversial ministers.
We need to affirm that Defense Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu never made any controversial statement. Concerning the death penalty for drug traffickers, the ministry supports this particular policy. As for the statement which suggests that 'If Indonesia goes to war, it would only last a few days', it was written on Twitter by an individual who claimed to be the minister. To this date, the minister has not made a Twitter account.
Indosat's Comment
IN response to Mr. Ali Aulia Rahman's complaint written in Letters in the May 11-17, 2015, edition of Tempo on the process of changing Indosat card, I would like to apologize on behalf of the management. Indosat's Customer Relations Team has contacted Mr. Rahman to provide an explanation and a solution to the problem. The customer understood Indosat's explanation and the problem was solved satisfactorily.
OLX Objects
WE object to the Tempo article entitled Decline and Fall on page 25 of the April 27 -3 May 2015 edition. You wrote there Tusks and stuffed and mounted rare animals are even being offered online through Facebook, the Kaskus and OLX online trade fora... Olx.co.id is an open, online classified ad website under a user-generated content principle. We object to what was written as we are running a business that tries to do the right thing.
We state this clearly on our website page http://olx.co.id/larangan/. It states that all users of the olx.co.id website are prohibited from selling any illegal goods or services. These illegal items include: Plants and animals protected under Government Regulation No. 7/1999 and other regulations (and includes animal body parts such as tusks, claws, and skins.)
