His targets were the areas where Jokowi lost out in the 2014 presidential elections, namely Banten, West Java, and Madura, East Java. The Jokowi-Jusuf Kalla pairing at the time did indeed win in East Java, scooping 53.1 percent of the vote, while their opponents, the Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa pairing only received 46.8 percent of the vote. But Jokowi-Kalla lost out big time in Madura.
