The many cases of violence in Papua involving the military has not let up. Families of victims have never attained justice.
IT needed many months before Yeremia Zanambani’s family allowed an autopsy to be conducted on the pastor’s remains. Aside from considering local custom, the family had also requested the procedure be executed by an independent medical team and the National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM). In the end, the autopsy was finally performed on the remains of the pastor who died on September 19, 2020, in Intan Jaya, Papua, on Saturday
