Indonesia is on the list of countries with risky pension systems. There is a sufficient gap between the contributions paid and pension income received by retired civil servants. The government will soon issue regulations on reforming pension schemes.

ICELAND came with a surprise. The Nordic island country in the North Atlantic Ocean was named as having the best pension system for its retirees by Mercer CFA Institute. In its 2021 Global Pension Index ranking, Mercer gave Iceland a score of 84.2 with an A rating, placing the country in the same rank as the Netherlands and Denmark as countries with the best retirement system.
