VALE Indonesia received praise from two visiting state officials. The company was first complimented by Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan during his visit to its nickel mine and smelter in Sorowako, South Sulawesi, in November 2022. According to Vale Indonesia Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Febriany Eddy, Luhut said the company had already applied good mining practices.
