PGN's subsidiary suffers losses after acquiring a number of oil and gas fields. There are suspicions of fraud behind transactions that are too expensive.
IT took two months for the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) to find a number of irregularities in the projects of Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN). BPK Member VII Hendra Susanto said there were no requests from law enforcers to specifically audit PGN. However, he said that the BPK wanted to prove several issues regarding the state gas company. “After looking into it, there were problems, indeed,” he said on Thursday, July 20.
