AROUND 200 colonels from the Indonesian Military (TNI) gathered at Garuda Yaksa Retreat Center in Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java, one morning in the first week of January 2025. Dressed in their respective service uniforms, they listened to an extensive speech by President Prabowo Subianto, who stood at the podium and spoke for hours, from morning until midday.
