ON Tuesday, July 12, the European Union Parliament issued a press statement affirming its wish to export and engage in the trade of deforestation-free commodities. The statement mentioned that the European Union Committee on the Environment, Public Health, and Food Safety has reviewed the proposal for the regulation of deforestation-free products to stop global deforestation.
