Implementation of co-firing at the Indramayu coal power plant leaves behind environmental impacts and health problems. Co-firing of forest biomass has the potential to cause deforestation and it does not reduce emissions.
AT the auction site of Pembangkitan Jawa-Bali for the Indramayu Steam Power Plant (PLTU), there were four announcements of an open auction for the procurement of sawdust throughout 2021. Three are for re-procurement for April 2021, and one for procurement for July 2021. Sawdust will be used as a coal mixture or co-firing at the PLTU. The specifications asked for are sawdust with a total humidity of 16.63 percent and have a calorific value of 3,92
