An investigation into sexual violence allegedly committed by the founder of the Shiddiqiyyah Boarding School in Jombang is making no progress. The attorney office is facing impediments in their search for evidence.

Convicting perpetrators of sexual violence and crime is difficult at best. This much is reflected in the case of rape allegedly committed by Mochammad Subchi Azal Tsani, alias Gus Bechi, in Jombang, East Java. The police have been unable to question this son of Muchtar Muthi, alias Kiai Tar, caretaker of the Majma’al Bahroin Hubbul Wathon Minal Iman Shiddiqiyyah Boarding School. Subchi has never honored any summons for questioning
