Penalties Delayed by Court Appeal

The ministry of education, culture, research and technology has not penalized the dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Science (FISIP) at Riau University. The sanction for sexual abuse on campuses is weak.

SISCA—not her real name—is under the periodic supervision of a team of psychiatrists. Her psychological condition continued to deteriorate after hearing the news of the acquittal of Syafri Harto, the non-active Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Science (FISIP) at Riau University, Riau, on Sunday, March 20. Syarif had been charged with committing sexual violence against Sisca.
